ABOUT US

TURN TO OUR EXPERT STAFF FOR YOUR HEARING SOLUTIONS

Cory Soal began The Georgetown Hearing Clinic in 1992. It has remained a family-operated business to this day, and we consider our clients as part of our extended family.

The Georgetown Hearing Clinic is a privately-owned hearing aid dispensary that caters to all makes and models of hearing aids. Our services include making impressions for custom molds to be used with aids, music plugs, sleep plugs and noise-cancelling plugs. We sell phones for hearing impairment, hearing aid batteries and accessories. We have an audiologist on staff who conducts complete hearing assessments in our testing booth each Wednesday.

Are you in need of a hearing specialist you can rely on? Our mission is to keep our clients’ connected to all the sounds they love, improving their quality of life. We don’t want you to miss a question from a friend, a joke from a neighbour, or an “I love you” from your family.

With a commitment to hearing excellence, it’s no wonder people in Georgetown, Halton Hills and area turn to us year after year for quality care and industry educated experience. Many can sell a hearing aid, but it’s our service and individual customer care that sets us apart from the competition. We are proud to be the recipients of The Independent’s Reader’s Choice Award every year since 2011.

Kathy Boksman, Office Manager

A Certified Bookkeeper, Kathy continues to keep things rolling in this busy office. While Cory and Vimmi work to help our clients with their hearing healthcare needs, Kathy orchestrates all the paperwork and is happy to help with any insurance claim. Kathy joined The Georgetown Hearing Clinic in 2013 to take over the administrative duties from Irene Soal, who retired after 20 years of service. Irene always welcomed our clients with genuine affection, and her warm and caring influence still remains.

So, you think you may need a hearing test.

If you’ve noticed that your hearing isn’t quite what it once was, or even if you don’t recognize any hearing loss, it’s a good idea to have our audiologist perform a full hearing test. Having a hearing test is as important as having your eyes tested and a yearly physical with your M.D. We will not only establish a baseline of hearing thresholds (decibels and frequencies) that determine the degree of hearing loss you’re experiencing, but evaluate your total ear health.

We will perform a tympanometry test that examines the condition of the middle ear and mobility of the eardrum and the conduction bones by creating variations of air pressure in the ear canal. We visually inspect the outer ear, canal and ear drum for optimal health and report any concerns to your medical doctor. During your appointment we will:

Analyze your hearing health history
Reviewing your ontological history, including exposure to noise and general health
Ascertain which aspects you’d like to improve
Carry out a comprehensive hearing test
